Adam Pogue for Commune Floor Cushion

Adam Pogue is a textile artist based in Los Angeles. He began his career working in apparel and has since created his own textile appliqué language, inspired by Korean Pojagi and quilting techniques found throughout the world. Adam works with Commune using textile remnants and vintage fabrics that Commune finds along the way. Obi fabrics from a trip to Japan, army canvas used for upholstery, and discarded carpet and drapery are all reconfigured to create a new textile experience. 

These beautiful floor cushions are a new product Adam made exclusively for the Commune Shop. They fill the gap between his less structured floor pillows and his ottomans. The floor cushions are hand-stitched in Adam’s signature appliqué style and filled with cotton futon filling, giving them a sturdy yet plush feel.
