Chris Kallmyer for Commune Glass Bell

Musician and artist Chris Kallmyer designs these glass bells with inspiration from tea ceramic forms. With a carved redwood striker, these bells sit pretty on a shelf, hang on a hook, and have a warm, pure sound. The bells were developed at the legendary Pilchuck Glass School where Kallmyer developed this distinctive finish, applying layers of glass powder to the surface of the forms as they were blown. Each piece – tactile and unpolished – is unique and handcrafted by Kallmyer with Glow Glass in Oakland, California.
