Chris Kallmyer for Commune Wind Chime

Musician and artist Chris Kallmyer, has embarked to redesign the sounds of the home. This wind chime is part of Chris' ongoing investigation into sounding home goods - a collection of furniture made to intone atmospheric music and breezy melodies that promote social well-being through sound. 
 
This two-tone wind chime is made from locally sourced redwood and copper-plated tubing. It rings in a warm open harmony based on the tones found in Joni Mitchell’s “California.” This sculptural work creates an ongoing soundtrack whenever the wind blows.
