Mick Haggerty for Commune Table of a Painting (Blue)

Confronted by his failed paintings, artist and designer Mick Haggerty reconfigured them from useless art to useful furniture. The stretcher bars cut to become the frame and the canvas folded to make the surface, transforming what might have been a painting of a table - to a table of a painting.

Acrylic, oil and enamel paints on recycled canvas. Assembled on pine stretcher bars, with staples.

Made in California, each piece is signed by the artist.
