Desmond Corcoran Walnut Platter

Born and raised in Dublin, Ireland, Desmond was drawn to woodworking from an early age. He moved to New York City in his twenties where he joined 3rd Ward, an artist collective in Brooklyn where he took courses in joinery, wood carving and furniture restoration. 

He later gained more woodworking experience whilst attending the Vermont Woodworking School in Burlington, Vermont where he was introduced to woodturning.

Desmond has lived in Brittany, France, since 2012. His designs are refined with clean and simple lines. Each piece is made in a thoughtful manner from meticulously selected wood.
